Pixel Runner

My marble mech series portrays weathered decaying marble sculptures of robots from a futures past. Pixel Runner combines this conceptualization with my Pixel series representing abstract shapes and glitches of the digital aesthetic. Together these concepts speak to the digital means of fabrication in the physicality by implying traditional materials into a 3D printed reality. This is a view of the crumbling future's past of the art of the physical digital made by robots.

The pixel series begins with a single square, one cube. Inspired from the glitch art of pixel sorting, this cube is stretched in length and then duplicated and displaced multiple times to create a new shape. This new shape creates the new “pixel” a building block that is manipulated and duplicated repeatedly to create a larger picture. These pieces in unison create a flow of energy for visual stimuli.

included photos are of some alternative paint style studies and an a.i. generated background to fill out the rest of the pixel forms.
