learning takes time and mistakes
I’ve Been 3D printing for over 6 years now. The technology has changed a long way since I’ve had my homebuilt printers printing printers. Along the way, I’ve had a print failure or two to say the least, with some weeks I felt I was creating more problems then fixing and questioned why I got into this field of art and technology that was just beginning its baby steps of exploration of consumer desktop use.
Mastery takes meeting those challenges
To that I answered time and time and time again that my art is my own form of exploration so I might as well dive off the deep end. The bodies of work you see me create today are the peak of the mountain made of the accumulations of previous failures
Artistry makes the most of those mistakes
This specific piece was created out of those failures. Collaging all the print fails over the last half a decade, I present this assemblage that I title, The Mountain.
